Data Page

The Data Page is where you find most of the information about the gem you are interested in. Open the Gemstone Database:

To get to the Data Page locate the gem you want information on in the Gemstone Database list.

Highlight the gem by clicking on it (Alexandrite is highlighted above). Then, either double-click the gem, press Enter or click the Data button at the bottom of the Gemstone Database list. Doing any of these things will take you to the Data Page.

DataPage02
The Gemstone Data Page contains a wealth of information about the selected gem. From here you can view Spectral Images for either Prism or Diifraction Grating spectroscopes. You can view photos or Inclusion photos.

Varieties, Trade Names,  and Misnomers: On the right of the Data Page you'll see a list box with at least one gem named in it. This is a list of the groups, species, trade names, varieties and misnomers (M) that match the gem you have highlighted. Click on a gem name in the list and if there is more information about it the Info button right below the window will become active.
