You can control the wallpaper in Gemology Tools by selecting File/Preferences. When the Preferences dialog box opens you will see 3 possible selections: No Wallpaper, Fixed Wallpaper or Random Wallpaper. The default setting is Random Wallpaper. This means you never know what wallpaper you'll get. If you select Fixed Wallpaper (by clicking the radio button with the mouse) another dialog box will open. Click on the Select Wallpaper button and select a photo name. You will see a thumbnail picture on the right. You can arrow up or down to look at all the pictures. Select the one you want for your wallpaper and click Open. Click the Save button.

Tip: If you hate a background photo (wallpaper) you can simply delete the picture. Using the Windows Explorer, providing you used the default installation, go to C:\Program Files\Wise Jewelry Applications\Images\Wallpaper. There you will see the files for the wallpaper. You can delete the ones you don't like. You can even put in your own photos. To do that you should make sure the photo is at least 1024x768 in size. AND, most importantly, the file must be a jpeg and it you must change the file extension to .jpeg (it is usually .jpg).
