Scheduler: Double click on any date in the Calendar to open the scheduler.  Here you can keep track of meetings and things you need to do for that day.



You must click the SAVE button before you leave the scheduler. To change the date while in the Scheduler click the spinner in the upper left hand corner. The top spinner will increase the date and the bottom spinner will decrease the date.



Alarm: Once you set a time for the alarm, a message box will pop up when that time arrives.  Example: You are busy typing a proposal in your word processor for the Big Meeting which starts in a half hour. You get very involved in your work but can't miss this meeting. Click or hold the left mouse button on UP/DOWN Spinner for the Hour and the Minutes (make sure you have the correct AM or PM time selected).  Click once in the Alarm Message box.  Type your message (Leave for the Big Meeting!!).  Click the Set button (or use the ALT-E key combination).  Go back to your word processor by pressing the ALT-TAB combination.  When the time comes, a message box will pop up telling you it is time to go get the kids. Note:  If you close Gemology Tools the alarms won't work.  You must either minimize GT or ALT-TAB to your other application).

Note: On newer computers you don’t have to worry about it but if you have an older computer make sure the time on your computer is accurate.
