Baguette Weight Chart
Use the Baguette Weight Chart to quickly look up approximate weights of baguette diamonds. If the exact size you need isn't on the list you can often interpolate between 2 sizes to get a good approximation.
TIP: To highlight a line of text to make it easier to read position the mouse to the right of the line, hold down the left mouse button and drag it to the left. This creates reverse video which makes it easier to see.
Diamond Weight Chart
The Diamond Weight Chart provides a quick way to get approximate diamond weights based on the millimeter sizes of the most popular cuts. This chart is for QUICK ESTIMATES only. You should always weigh the diamond (if loose) or use the Diamond Weight Estimator (with accurate measurements). Pick the shape, find the closest measurements (as always measurements are in millimeters) and find the approximate weight in the left-most column.
TIP: To highlight a line of text to make it easier to read position the mouse to the right of the line, hold down the left mouse button and drag it to the left. This creates reverse video which makes it easier to see the weight column at the left compared to the millimeter sizes on the right.
Colored Stone Weight Chart
Use Page Up/Page Down or the Up/Down Arrows to move around the chart. Locate the variety or species across the top, find the shape and millimeter size in the left most column and find the intersecting cell to get your approximate weight. In the example below you can see that a round Spinel or Tsavorite Garnet that is 6.5 mm’s will weigh approximately 1.30 carats.
Tip: You can highlight the row by holding down the left mouse button and dragging across the screen. This can make it easier to match a size with the carat weight.
The Colored Stone Weight Estimation Chart is for quick reference only. If you have good measurements you should use the Colored Stone Weight Estimator.
Weights are based on 65% depth and moderate bulge.
Gems with excessive bulge or excessive depth may weigh as much as 20% more than shown in the chart.
Gems with extremely shallow depths may weigh as much as 20% less than shown in the chart.
